Five Covenant Health employees were the first recipients of new awards for cardiac service excellence in recognition of their exemplary care of heart patients, outstanding performance in cardiac services, and demonstrating Covenant Health’s Standards and Behaviors and Pledge of Excellence.
The awards were presented by Mike Belbeck, executive vice president of operations at an event which was attended by Covenant Health executives, facility administrators and cardiac service line leaders, and cardiac physicians.
The 2017 honorees are:
Jacque Casey-Rowe, Methodist Medical Center
Jeremy Johnson, Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center
Jackie Reed, LeConte Medical Center
Jennifer Skiles, Parkwest Medical Center
Kathy Watts, Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System
The honorees were nominated by their facilities and selected by a committee representing cardiac services throughout the health system. Each honoree received a certificate, a Covenant Health pin and an opportunity to attend clinical continuing education for their professional development.
Mike Ayres, MD, interventional cardiologist and chairman of Covenant Health’s cardiac services council, told the honorees, “Our cardiologists and cardiac surgeons greatly appreciate all that you do and the care you provide – you help us help our patients.”
“We are pleased to recognize these outstanding employees with the first Cardiac Services Excellence Awards,” said Belbeck. “There is no greater recognition than being acknowledged for excellence by the people you work with, and we’re grateful for the ongoing contributions of the honorees to our cardiac services.”
