Cory Everett has been named as the new vice president and chief support officer for Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He will be responsible for ancillary departments and expanding service offerings. Prior to joining Morristown-Hamblen, Everett worked for Blount Memorial Hospital in various roles since 2012. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer, where he developed operational improvement strategies, executed strategic initiatives for service line growth, worked on budget efficiency and improved physician satisfaction rates.
“Morristown-Hamblen is excited to welcome Cory to our leadership team,” said Gordon Lintz, president and chief administrative officer. “His history in executive level experience will be a great asset to our hospital and help us improve care to the patients in our region.”
“I have always admired the work that Covenant Health has been able to do while serving the residents of East Tennessee in both metropolitan and community settings,” said Everett. “It is a truly amazing organization that has a great reputation in the communities we serve. I am excited to be part of a growing organization whose mission of improving the quality of life through better health aligns with my passion as a healthcare leader.”
Everett earned his Master in Health Administration and Master in Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his bachelor’s degree in economics at Maryville College.
