Apples are nutrient-dense and a great choice for a healthy snack! This simple recipe will give you the flavor of apples in season and the aroma of apple pie (with no regrets!).
An apple a day might not keep the doctor away, but it’s a good source of vitamin C and fiber. This easy apple recipe is flavored for fall.
Ingredients:
- Apple slices
- Cinnamon
- Pumpkin pie spice
- (Optional) Sugar or sugar-free sweetener to taste
Directions:
- Add any combination of cinnamon and/or pumpkin spice to apple slices. Add optional dusting of sugar or sweetener.
- Place in an air fryer for 10 minutes at 400 degrees (or on a baking sheet in a conventional oven for 12 minutes at 425 degrees).
While apples are in season, try this recipe with varying amounts of spices to taste. For an extra treat, replace the sugar/sweetener with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup when the apple slices are fresh from the oven or air fryer.
