Hospital Services by Location

We offer comprehensive cardiac services throughout our 23 county service area – here’s a quick overview of services provided at each of our hospitals.

Cardiac Outpatient Testing

Diagnostic testing is critical in determining a correct diagnosis and treatment plan. And with nine hospitals throughout our region, patients don’t have to travel far from home for quality imaging and diagnostic procedures. View a comprehensive list of diagnostic testing locations.

The cadence of the heart is powered by the body’s electrical system, and when the heart’s rhythm is off beat, the resulting arrhythmias can out patients at increased risk of heart failure and stroke. Learn how Covenant Health treats arrhythmias, including the use of techniques such as catheter ablation.

TAVR and Structural Heart

TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) brings hope to patients with aortic stenosis who have been told they could not undergo traditional heart surgery. Learn more about how this revolutionary, minimally invasive procedure saves lives.

Covenant Health has performed more than 1,000 TAVR procedures, and was the first to bring this life-saving innovation to our region. Read about Bill Mackebee, our 1,000th patient to undergo this incredible, minimally invasive heart valve replacement procedure.

Cardiothoracic Surgery

Cardiothoracic surgeons perform procedures within the realm of cardiac (heart, valves, and great vessels) and thoracic (chest and esophagus) surgery. While cardiac and thoracic surgery are separate specialties, they are frequently grouped together as cardiothoracic surgery. Learn more about the cardiothoracic surgeons of Covenant Health at East Tennessee Cardiovascular Surgery Group.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Research show that heart patients who consistently attend cardiac rehabilitation have a lower risk of heart attack and death. Data also shows that the closer the rehab location to the patient’s home, the more likely the patient is to consistently attend.
