Covenant Health Introduces Unopposed Family Medicine Residency

Family medicine is crucial in promoting health and well-being across diverse communities. Started in 2024, the program for Family Medicine at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge is committed to excellence in training future doctors. The residency program is an 8-8-8 community-based, university-affiliated program accredited by the ACGME.

Residents will work with our research operations team throughout Covenant Health, a clinically integrated healthcare enterprise in East Tennessee that’s nationally recognized for quality patient care and workplace excellence. As part of the residency experience, our administrators and faculty preceptors will guide residents through research projects and assist with publications. Our quality team and our leaders are excited to participate in quality improvement work through the residency program. We welcome candidates to consider the Methodist Family Residency Program for advanced training in family medicine!
