Location and Directions

Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge Family Medicine Residency brings medical students to the Knoxville-Oak Ridge, Tennessee, area to continue their medical training in becoming primary care doctors.

Knoxville is the largest city in East Tennessee (2021 population approx. 200,000) and is located about halfway between the Great Smoky Mountains to the east and the Cumberland Plateau to the the west. Oak Ridge (2021 population approx. 32,000) is located about 25 miles west of downtown Knoxville.

Methodist Medical Center, a member of Covenant Health, is the sponsoring institution of the new Family Medicine Residency Program, which is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

The Methodist Family Residency program is introduced in conjunction with a new physician practice, Methodist Family Medicine Clinic, located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
