Covenant Hospice

Covenant Hospice was the first hospice program in Tennessee.  Hospice provides support and care for terminally ill patients so they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible.  Considered to be the model for compassionate end-of-life care, hospice uses a team-oriented approach to medical care, pain management, and emotional/spiritual support that is tailored to the patient and family’s needs.

Covenant Palliative Care

Covenant Palliative Care is a medical specialty focusing on management of symptoms in patients with acute, chronic or life-threatening illness, regardless of the diagnosis. Covenant’s palliative care services can be delivered any time during a patient’s illness while he or she is being treated at three of our hospital locations:  Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Parkwest Medical Center, and Methodist Medical Center.

Palliative care can be provided in conjunction with all other medical treatments. Symptoms which may benefit from palliative care might include but are not limited to, pain, nausea, shortness of breath, fluid retention, etc. Palliative care strives to help patients better understand treatment options and customize treatments to meet individual needs. The goal is to promote the highest quality of life for patients and their families. For more information, visit www.covenanthealth.com/palliativecare.

Our triage department is staffed with registered nurses 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Our centralized intake department processes referrals efficiently for the convenience of patients, families, and physicians.  Covenant HomeCare is Medicare-certified and CHAP-accredited.
