February 2026 – Covenant HomeCare, a member of Covenant Health, has been recognized as a 2026 “Best Home Health” agency in the High Performing category by U.S. News & World Report. It earned a 4.25 out of 5 overall rating and a five-star rating in patient experience. Covenant HomeCare is one of six high-performing home health agencies in the Knoxville area.
U.S. News & World Report created the inaugural list by evaluating and grading over 12,000 home health agencies, with approximately 1,300 earning the High Performing distinction for exceeding expectations in care quality and patient experience. These agencies also perform better than the national average in areas like faster start times, better mobility , and daily independence.
“I am proud of Covenant HomeCare for being nationally recognized as a ‘Best Home Health’ agency,” said John Huskey, president of Covenant HomeCare and Hospice. “We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, and our five-star rating in patient experience reflects our dedication to this standard.”
Ratings were determined based on publicly reported data collected from quality measures and patient experience surveys from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Quality of care data measures how well a home health agency helps the patient achieve better health outcomes while avoiding hospitalizations and other complications. Patient experience scores are based on surveys completed both by the patient and their family regarding professionalism, communication, overall satisfaction and other aspects of care they received.
Covenant HomeCare offers a complete range of services for transitional and continued care, including skilled nursing; physical, occupational and speech therapies; and medical social services.
