Grief Support Groups
Free community support groups for those who have lost a loved one
Grief is a journey that keeps moving. It takes time and support to process grief. Covenant Hospice offers special programs for adults, youth and children who have experienced significant loss.
What is Grief?
Greif is the natural reaction to loss, which often occurs as part of significant life changes, such as:
-
- Loss of a loved one through death
-
- Divorce
-
- Job changes
-
- Moving
-
- Other significant life changes
Covenant Hospice Grief Support Groups
Covenant Hospice offers ongoing monthly grief support groups in Harriman, Knoxville, Morristown, Oak Ridge, and Sevierville. We offer a safe environment where those who have experienced the death of a loved one can find comfort, support, and hope. The groups are informal, and you may attend meetings as often as you wish, for as long as you need.
Support groups are open to the community — your loved one did not have to be a Covenant Hospice patient in order for you to participate in a grief support group.
Meetings are free — but registration is required. Call 865-374-0411 or 877-334-4500 to register for a support group in your area.
You don’t have to face grief alone. Be part of a support group where others understand your journey:

Especially for Children: Katerpillar Kids Camp
If you know a child who is struggling with a loss of a loved one, Katerpillar Kids Camp may be a helpful resource. The free weekend day camp helps children cope with the loss of a loved one through a variety of activities. The program is open to children and youth from 1st to 12th grade.
Hospice Care
Hospice care and support are provided specifically to patients at the end of life’s journey. This care also extends to the patient’s family. The Covenant Hospice team provides care resources to the patient’s family for 13 months following the death of a patient.
