“Covenant Health’s dedication to mission-driven care and responsible stewardship is what drew me here,” said Boos. “I believe strong revenue operations are essential to sustaining high-quality patient care, and I’m excited to partner with leaders and teams across the organization to support Covenant Health’s long-term growth and impact in East Tennessee.”

Boos brings more than 30 years of revenue cycle leadership experience. Most recently, he served as chief revenue officer and vice president of revenue cycle at Centra Health in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he led revenue cycle strategy and performance across multiple hospitals and an employed medical group. During his tenure there, Boos guided payer strategy, Medicare Advantage positioning and denial prevention initiatives, contributing to sustained improvements in cash performance, accounts receivable and denial reduction.

“I am glad to welcome Robert to Covenant Health. His depth of experience and operational leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen financial performance and patient access across the system,” said Joe Dolan, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Covenant Health. “His commitment to keeping the patient experience at the center of his responsibilities aligns with our pledge to be the best choice for our patients.”

Prior to Centra Health, Boos spent more than 10 years at Community Health Systems in Franklin, Tennessee, where he drove standardization, performance governance and operational discipline across various states. Additionally, he led large-scale shared services operations supporting hospital and physician revenue cycle functions, including the creation of a shared services center.

Boos has spoken nationally on revenue cycle management, denial prevention, patient financial experience, payer denials and coding narratives. Outside of work, Boos serves as a high school football official. He received his associate’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix.
