Emergency Care at Parkwest

You will be brought to an examination area where you will be examined by an emergency physician or an Advanced Practice Clinician. Depending on your situation, they may order tests, such as X-rays, blood work, EKG or CT scans, and your vital signs will be monitored.

RNs and other assistants who work with the emergency provider will work as a team to coordinate your care.

If your situation is serious and not able to be treated in your ED visit alone, you may be admitted to the hospital. Otherwise the emergency provider will discuss your diagnosis with you as well as your treatment plan, which may include medication, medical restrictions and follow-up care.

After your questions are answered and you complete your discharge paperwork, you will be discharged.
