January 2026 – Roane Medical Center has earned The Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospitals™ awards in two categories in 2026.

Roane was ranked in the top 12% of hospitals in patient safety and top 8% in stroke care. In 2025, it was recognized in the top 5% as a small hospital for comprehensive care.

The Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospitals™ rates hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide based on metrics including relevant clinical performance, patient satisfaction and appropriate accreditations that focus on the female experience to help women make smart healthcare choices.

“Earning the Women’s Choice Award for patient safety and stroke care reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care when it matters most,” said Jason Pilant, president and chief administrative officer. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our physicians, nurses, and staff who work every day to ensure our patients receive safe, high-quality treatment close to home.”

The annual rankings are determined based on data from The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems patient satisfaction survey results, relevant accreditation information and the American Hospital Directory.

Other Covenant Health hospitals recognized by Women’s Choice Award include Claiborne Medical Center in Tazewell, Fort Sanders Regional and Parkwest Medical Centers in Knoxville, LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville and Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

The Women’s Choice Award “is a symbol of excellence in customer experience awarded by the collective voice of women.” To view the full list of The Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospitals or read more about the methodology, visit https://womenschoiceaward.com/best-hospitals.
