Under Bigg’s leadership, Methodist is regularly recognized for providing excellent care in a range of service lines and care offerings. The hospital was designated as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission during his first year, and the stroke team continues to receive frequent quality achievement awards from the American Heart Association. In the last three years, U.S. News and World Report has recognized many service offerings for high-performing care, including heart failure, heart attack, knee replacement and hip fracture care; prostate cancer surgery; and COPD and pneumonia treatments. Methodist has also been a recipient of Zero Harm Awards from the Tennessee Hospital Association and received an “A” Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group the last seven semesters.

“I am looking forward to building upon Covenant Health Roane’s and Jason’s legacy of providing excellent and compassionate healthcare,” said Biggs. “This is an excellent opportunity to enhance our combined synergies and shared markets, especially capitalizing on important service lines. Methodist and Roane have exceptionally strong leadership teams, and we are ready to hit the ground running in the new year!”

Biggs has been a constant leader in the enterprise during his 14-year tenure with Covenant Health. Prior to his current position at Methodist, Jeremy served as the president and chief administrative officer of Cumberland Medical Center, Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System and Thompson Cancer Survival Center.

“Jeremy’s extensive leadership experience throughout our enterprise makes him a great addition to Roane and the Harriman community,” said Mike Belbeck, executive vice president of operations for Covenant Health. “He has shown continued success as a leader, and I know he will continue to do so in this additional leadership role.”

Biggs earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and East Tennessee Healthcare Executives.
