January 2026 – Claiborne Medical Center has been recognized on Becker’s Hospital Review’s national 2025 list of “Top Recommended Hospitals.” The list names hospitals who received five-star patient recommendation ratings based on data collected from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Becker’s Hospital Review is a national publication focusing on hospital business news for healthcare executives. It compiled the “Top Recommended Hospitals” list based on HCAHPS patient survey responses to the question, “Would you recommend this hospital to your friends and family?”

“I am proud of our Claiborne team and the care they provide to our patients every day,” said Gordon Lintz, president and chief administrative officer of Claiborne Medical Center. “Our team members and physicians focus on treating our patients like family, and we want everyone who visits Claiborne Medical Center to feel welcome when they visit our facility.”

Claiborne Medical Center was one of nine hospitals in Tennessee who received five stars for patient recommendations. Covenant Health Roane, a sister facility of Claiborne, was also included on the list.

Claiborne Medical Center is located in Tazewell, Tennessee. It offers comprehensive medical care including stroke care, imaging and diagnostics, emergency and surgical services. It is recognized as an Acute Stroke Care Ready Hospital by the American Heart Association and is part of the Covenant Health system based in Knoxville, Tennessee.
