Nancy’s Nomination

“In July of this year, Nancy mentioned that she felt like our patients would benefit from additional information regarding their medications. Nancy took the initiative on herself to compile multiple sources of information and put together a power point presentation. The presentation includes a variety of medication information from storage, and dosages forms to why providers use medication to treat mental health issues. How it can help with mental health symptoms, the difference between a side effect and allergic reaction and when to report those issues.
Nancy has volunteered to present the information to our most vulnerable patients on a weekly basis. Our other pharmacists have now volunteered to present as well. Nancy has been able to present her power point slides several times and the engagement from the patients has been very positive. We are all realizing how much our patients do not know about general medication safety and information as well as how interested they are to learn about a subject that will aid in their mental health journey. Nancy is always the first one to see a need and volunteer to help. She is a huge asset to our team and to Peninsula.”
