Why attend a bariatric support group meeting?

Bariatric support group meetings will provide patients answers to practical questions, but also validation as to whether or not weight loss surgery is the right thing for him or her. These support group meetings will also provide insight, perspective and real-world experiences from those who have been there and now are able to share their perspective. This support group is for both pre-op patients and post-op patients.

When and where are meetings held?

Support group meetings are held:

  • On the third and fourth Monday of each month, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Location: Dogwood Classrooms, Parkwest Medical Center, 9352 Park West Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37923 (Enter through Surgery Entrance)
  • On the 2nd Monday of each month, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Location: Covenant Health South, 7625 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920
  • Virtual Groups are also available. Please call Stella Mouzon, Bariatric Coordinator, for more details: 865-373-4565.
