Below, you will find information on ordering and scheduling imaging and procedures at Covenant Health, many of which are now available to schedule through our Centralized Scheduling department. Please be sure to select whether you’re an employed or non-employed physician practice to get specific ordering instructions for your practice.

Steps for Imaging and Procedure Scheduling at Covenant Health

Please read and follow these steps when ordering and scheduling procedures or imaging services with one of our Covenant Health facilities in Tennessee.

Covenant Medical Group and Employed Physician Practices

Step 1: Submit an order and pre-authorization through eCare*

Step 2: Define your order type

Step 3: Notify patients that a scheduling representative will contact them when the order is approved.

*NOTE: Claiborne Medical Center is not on eCare. Please contact the facility directly.

Non-Employed Physician Practices

Step 1: Submit an order in Order Facilitator or via fax

Continue to use the fax number you have on file and include the following information on the order:

• Patient’s name
• Patient’s date of birth
• Provider’s signature with date and time
• CPT code
• Ordering diagnosis / ICD-10 code
• Order type – specify an exact date if required 

Step 2: Notify patients that a scheduling representative will contact them when the order is approved.

Order Types

Routine: Patient can be seen within a few days or at provider and patient convenience

STAT: Patient needs to be seen IMMEDIATELY
