Get to Know Our Indoor Cycling Studio

Indoor cycling classes are designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, burn calories and build muscle strength and endurance, all while being gentle on knees and joints. Paired with motivating music, experienced instructors and a communal atmosphere, our classes are perfect for anyone looking to improve their fitness in a fun and dynamic way.

Our indoor cycling studio features 31 Matrix IC7 stationary bikes designed and equipped with a number of features to help you maximize your workouts, including:

Matrix Fitness IC7 Indoor Spin Bike.
WattRate (power) meter

Accurately measures power output with an error margin of just +/- 1%.

300-degree magnetic resistance adjustment

Allows riders to quickly dial-in the perfect resistance with just a flick of the wrist.

Gas-assisted seat post and handlebar

Provides members a smooth, step-less adjustment range for optimal performance and maximum comfort.

Coach by Color Console

Displays both WattRate and heart rate with five colored zones to help users hit training targets.

Advanced ergo-formed handlebars

Deliver a comfortable ride with integrated bottle holders.

Group Cycling Classes

Indoor cycling classes are limited to 30 participants. If you have any questions about Indoor Cycling classes, please contact our Group Fitness Coordinator at 865-531-5063.

Spin

This is a great non-impact cardiovascular workout on a stationary bike. This class can be modified to fit almost anyone’s fitness level. Emphasizing the mind/body connection, you will leave with a great feeling of accomplishment and exhilaration!  All members work towards their individual fitness goals while participating in a group activity.

Class is limited to 25 so please arrive early for set up.

Les Mills RPM

RPM is the indoor cycling workout where you ride to the rhythm of powerful music. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials and interval training. Discover your athlete within – sweat and burn to reach your endorphin high.

Les Mills SPRINT

Les Mills SPRINT is a 30-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, using an indoor bike to achieve fast results. It’s a quick and hard style of training that returns rapid results with minimum joint impact. The short duration of a Les Mills SPRINT workout will motivate you to push your physical and mental limits. It features bursts of intensity where you work as hard as possible followed by periods of rest that prepare you for the next effort.

Parkinson’s Pedalers

This indoor cycling class allows Parkinson’s Pedalers members to maintain an active lifestyle in a safe environment, improving their overall quality of life! Research shows that regular exercise has many benefits for people with Parkinson’s disease and that it is a vital part of overall disease management. Exercise is an essential component to maintaining mobility and the ability to perform activities of daily living.

Functional Threshold WattRate/Power Testing

Participants will be lead through a series of four-minute stages and coached to ride at an RPM of 85-90 while increasing their resistance level at each stage to maintain a green console. Participants will be coached to check out when they are unable to consistently stay in the green target zone or physically feeling a Rate of Perceived Exertion of 8-9. This will give you your FTW number, which you can then enter each time you attend a cycling workout so that you may better track your power performance in addition to heart rate.

Spin Orientation

Have you ever wanted to attend SPIN but were intimidated by the thought of setting up your bike or the thought of sitting on that seat for 45 minutes? If so, contact our Group Fitness Supervisor to schedule a 30-minute SPIN Orientation. We will go over bike set up, bike reservation rules, class rules and take you through a Functional Threshold Wattrate test.

Virtual Indoor Cycling with Matrix MyRide

The Matrix MyRide VX System powered by Team ICG offers a variety of workouts that range from 20 – 58 minutes in length. In these virtual cycling classes, you will have an onscreen coach guiding you through a scenic ride, killer drills and a variety of challenging workouts.

If you are new to both virtual and in-person Indoor Cycling or have not yet taken a FTW (Functional Threshold Watt/Power) RAMP Test, please contact our Group Fitness Coordinator at 865-531-5063 for questions and scheduling.
