I’ve been part of Parkwest Hospital for almost 23 years, and during that time we’ve faced our share of “bumps in the road” with different companies managing our group. Since Covenant Anesthesia Group came on board, they’ve shown a real commitment to supporting us and making our team stronger. What I value most is that our group is made up of people from all different backgrounds, yet we work together as one team while never losing sight of what matters most—our families and our patients. If you’re looking for a team of professionals who are united, supportive, and passionate about patient care, you’ll find that here.

Cesar Ferrón, CRNA

I’ve been working as a CRNA for nearly 25 years and in that duration of time I’ve experienced several changes within the group. Am happy to say that presently all of the changes put in place (relatively recently) make this an ideal place to work. I am reimbursed well and have fabulous work life balance. Additionally, I have an excellent relationship with all of the staff. Finally I feel valued: my opinions related to patient safety and best practice are heard. Lastly, I feel that I have a seat at the table- administration wants us to be satisfied and will do what’s necessary for that goal.

I plan to eventually retire here and am so grateful to have a pleasant working environment rich in support. I can not emphasize how important this is and that you should seek the same situation.

Coming to CAG was a fantastic move for me because I found a culture that supported my growth as an anesthesia provider. Each member of our team is happy you are there, constantly available as a resource, and takes the extra steps to ensure each day runs as smooth as possible. I feel valued and seen as a competent professional integral to the services we provide our patients.

Josh Carico, CRNA

I have worked as a CRNA at Fort Sanders for almost 25 years. Through several ups and downs I, and many as tenured as me, have stayed because we have a fantastic work environment– a team of CRNAs who work together and laugh together and have each others backs. We practice with exceptional autonomy given the team approach of the group. The variety of cases means doing something different every day which keeps things fresh, and most of the surgeons are incredibly easy to work with. Add to all that the excellent insurance through Covenant and a competitive compensation package and I think it’s by far the best place in town to work.

Outside of Methodist Hospital

I have been a CRNA with the anesthesia group at Methodist Medical Center for 25 years. The anesthesia department has a small group and family feel to it. I consider the people I work with not just colleagues, but friends. I feel challenged as an anesthesia provider and respected for my skill set and knowledge base. The relationship I have with the surgeons is on a personal level. I have an actual name and not just referred to as “Anesthesia”. There is a great balance of work life and home life. I’d chose Covenant Anesthesia Group at Methodist Medical Center all over again.

Paul McDonald, CRNA

I have worked as a CRNA for the anesthesia group for 19 years. Working here has not only been a professionally rewarding experience, but also a personally fulfilling journey. From the beginning, I was drawn to the group’s strong culture of collaboration and mutual respect. I’ve always felt supported by colleagues who are deeply knowledgeable, compassionate, and committed to excellence in patient care. What truly sets this group apart is our shared dedication to great care, safety, and respect. I’ve had the opportunity to work on complex cases that have challenged and expanded my clinical skills, all within a supportive environment where feedback and growth are encouraged. Beyond the clinical work, I value the sense of camaraderie and trust within our team. This sense of unity has kept me here. I don’t feel like a number, I feel like a member of a family. I am proud to be part of a team that consistently puts patients first while also taking care of one another. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the group’s mission for years to come.
