A person in a cream sweater dips a tortilla chip into a bowl of salsa on a wooden cutting board, with strawberries and cilantro nearby and a bowl of chips in the background.

A bowl of fruit salsa is a great addition to any summer day. Whether you’re hosting a cookout, packing snacks for the pool, or just craving something refreshing, this mango strawberry salsa is a nutritious and delicious choice. It’s naturally sweet, lightly spicy, and full of nourishing ingredients that make snacking feel good.

This simple recipe comes together in minutes and uses peak season produce. We recommend pairing it with tortilla chips or spoon it over grilled chicken or fish.

Why This Salsa Shines

  • Fresh fruit flavor — Mango and strawberries add natural sweetness, vitamin C, and antioxidants.
  • A touch of heat — Jalapeño brings balance and brightness; seed it for mild heat or leave the seeds for a kick.
  • Simple, wholesome ingredients — No oils, no fillers, just fresh produce and a drizzle of honey.
  • Perfect for entertaining — It looks beautiful on the table and pairs effortlessly with salty tortilla chips.

Recipe

A cutting board on a kitchen counter holds a red onion, a pomegranate, a lime, a jalapeño, strawberries, cilantro, and a small bowl of liquid, likely honey or syrup.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup mango, diced
  • ¾ cup strawberries, diced
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced (or not seeded for more spice)
  • 2 teaspoon honey
  • Juice of 1 lime (about 1 tablespoon)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and gently toss until everything is evenly coated. Taste and adjust lime, honey or spice as needed. Refrigerate for at least three hours for maximum flavor. Serve with tortilla chips.

Serving Ideas

  • Eat with tortilla chips for a refreshing appetizer
  • Spoon over grilled chicken or salmon for a sweet and savory contrast
  • Top your tacos for a bright pop of flavor
  • Serve with brunch alongside eggs, waffles or yogurt bowls
