Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group are pleased to have earned 2024 Digital Health Most Wired recognitions from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). Covenant Health received a Level 9 Acute designation and Covenant Medical Group, the health system’s physician practice organization, received a Level 9 Ambulatory designation. Both designations are improvements from last year’s Level 8 Acute and Level 8 Ambulatory recognitions.

This year marks the 20th time Covenant Health has earned an acute Most Wired designation since the program’s inception. Covenant Medical Group has also received high-level recognition since the ambulatory category was introduced in 2019.

The Digital Health Most Wired program aims to measure a health care provider’s dedication to improving health care through the advancement of digital health strategies. An annual survey evaluates the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in health care organizations from early-stage adopters to industry leaders using 10 levels of designation. More than 48,000 organizations were surveyed in various categories, including analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure and patient engagement.

A Level 9 designation honors health care technology leaders who implement advanced technologies organization-wide, leading to improved care quality, enhanced patient experience, reduced costs, and expanded access to services.

“Covenant Health’s 20th recognition as a Most Wired organization is a continued testament to our commitment to enabling technologies and processes that support the delivery of excellent patient care across the acute-care and ambulatory settings,” said Mike Ward, senior vice president and chief information officer of Covenant Health. “We are pleased to offer our patients advanced telehealth technologies, whether they are in one of our hospitals, clinics or at home, as well as enhanced cyber security measures for patient information security. We are continually evaluating digital tools and optimizing processes to improve the patient experience, and we are grateful for our continued recognition by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.”

“We are proud to recognize Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group for their exceptional dedication to digital health excellence,” said CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell. “The pioneering performance in the industry not only inspires other organizations by example but also provides patients around the world with better care. This achievement extends beyond information technology, symbolizing a collective organizational commitment to enhancing healthcare through advanced digital health strategies.”
