Connie Martin Nationally Recognized as Community Hospital CEO to Know

July 2025 – Connie Martin, the president and chief administrative officer of Fort Loudoun Medical Center, has been recognized on Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2025 list of “207 Community Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know.” It is the second consecutive year Martin, who has been in her role since 2022, has been named to the list.

Becker’s Hospital Review, a national publication focusing on hospital business news for healthcare executives, characterizes community hospitals as primarily acute-care facilities that function to bridge the gaps in healthcare. Hospital CEOs recognized on the list are “committed to providing high-quality, cost-effective care tailored to the needs of their local communities.” They are also responsible for expanding care offerings, growing service lines, directing long-term strategies and maintaining financial stability.
Fort Loudoun Medical Center, located in Lenoir City, Tennessee, offers comprehensive medical care covering 29 specialties, including stroke care, imaging and diagnostics, gastroenterology and surgical services. Most recently, Martin has helped gather support and funding for an upcoming expansion of the critical and intensive care units, as well as the emergency department. She is very involved in the community, creating health education series, investing in prospective medical students and aiding in physician recruitment.
Martin is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the East Tennessee Healthcare Executive Affiliation.
Two other Covenant Health leaders, Gordon Lintz president and chief administrative officer of Claiborne Medical Center and Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System, and Jason Pilant, president and chief administrative officer of Roane Medical Center, were also named to the list.
