Claiborne Recognized Again on “Cleanest Hospitals” List

Second year in a row on the Becker’s Hospital Review list

October 2025- Claiborne Medical Center is again recognized on Becker’s Hospital Review’s Fall 2025 list of “386 Cleanest Hospitals.” This is the second year in a row that Claiborne Medical Center received this designation. CMC was one of 386 hospitals in the United States, and one of only 10 hospitals in the state of Tennessee, to receive this designation.

Becker’s Hospital Review is a national publication focusing on hospital business news for healthcare executives. They compiled a list of hospitals with a CMS 5-star rating for cleanliness. CMS’s patient survey (HCAHPS) hospital database listed ratings based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems surveys. This is a national, standardized survey of hospital patients about their experience during a recent inpatient hospital stay.

Claiborne Medical Center celebrated this recognition with a reception for their Environmental Services team on October 22, 2025. Chief Nursing Officer Vicki Cornelius thanked the EVS team for their dedication to our patients and their pride in what they do every day. She then stated, “The Cleanest Hospital designation is a great recognition for the outstanding job our environmental services team does every day. They work seven days a week to keep our facility clean for our patients and residents. Our EVS team plays a vital role in keeping our patients safe and providing an excellent experience for them at Claiborne Medical Center and Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center. I appreciate them and their dedication to our community.”

Claiborne Medical Center is located in Tazewell, Tennessee. It offers comprehensive medical care including stroke care, imaging and diagnostics, emergency and surgical services. Claiborne Medical Center has been named an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the American Heart Association. It is part of the Covenant Health system based in Knoxville, Tennessee.
