Medication Assistance Resources
This page is meant to be a reference for resources in our communities about medication assistance. This is not meant to be an exhaustive catalog of resources, nor is inclusion on this page meant to act as a recommendation by Covenant Health for any particular resource. Detailed information on a variety of resources are available below.
Affordable Medicine Options for Seniors (AMOS)
Affordable Medicine Options for Seniors (AMOS) is a free service that helps Knoxville and Knox County older adults lower the cost of their medicines. AMOS can help you apply for various programs including Medicare Part D. Trained volunteer advisors do research, provide information for you, and help complete application forms.
AMOS volunteers and staff provide the services below. All services are free. Individual advising is by appointment. Note: AMOS is not a clinic or a pharmacy and does not give out medicines.
AMOS can help you:
- Learn about free samples available from your doctor and pharmacist;
- Patient assistance programs;
- Medicare Part D enrollment, Extra Help, the “doughnut hole,” and dealing with problems with your Part D coverage;
- Veterans benefits;
- Medicine discounts and mail order; and more.
Contact AMOS at 865-524-2786.
