Should I eat or drink anything before my test?

Your physician’s office will typically provide instructions regarding eating or drinking prior to your test. 

However, if you did not receive instructions, please call 423-492-6800 and request to speak to someone from radiology. The technologist will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding your pre-procedure requirements.

Where do I get a copy/report of my imaging procedure?

  • You may pick these up in the medical records (HIM) office, Monday – Friday, from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. 
  • Medical records is located in the Northeast Tower behind the main facility. 
  • You must present a photo ID and sign a medical information release form. 
  • All images are stored digitally and will be given to you on a CD.

When will I get the results of my test?

  • Your physician will have access to your exam results within 48 hours of the procedure. 
  • You may follow up with your physician at this time or request a copy of your results from the medical records department by calling 423-492-5700.

How do I reschedule an exam?

To reschedule imaging exams, call 865-374-4000.

Where do I check in for my imaging exam?

  • Patients scheduled for a CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, or X-ray procedure are to check in at patient services, located on the 1st floor of the hospital.
  • Patient services will assist you with registering for your exam and direct you to the location of your exam.
