Small Group Training

Similar to Personal Training, we offer hour and half-hour options for small group training. Sessions at Covenant Health Fitness Center are led by our nationally certified Personal Trainers and allow participants to maximize their workout sessions in a fun and challenging atmosphere. Another small group training class is our Les Mills GRIT Series. This membership add-on is a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class located in our basketball gym!

RENEW Weight Management Program

Nutrition is 75-80% of the equation to reaching your workout and/or weight goals. Completely changing your diet overnight leads to feeling overwhelmed and eventually abandoning your new eating habits; returning to your old habits. We come up with a plan that is easy to follow, allowing you to make continual progress. Our RENEW Weight Management Program consists of both conditioning and strength training. A small group training setting with a 30-minute, low-impact circuit workout will allow you to RENEW your fitness journey!

Complete Fitness Assessments and Programs

Covenant Health Fitness Center encourages members to complete regular fitness assessment (CFA Step 1 and CFA Step 2), and Program Designs every 3 months. These appointments are included in your membership, and will not incur any additional cost! For new members, it is a great way to establish a fitness baseline. For veteran members, the assessment helps individuals monitor their progress and establish new fitness goals.

Assisting the staff in developing a customized workout program, the assessments help indicate strengths and weaknesses related to fitness. It will also help motivate and encourage those who are seeking to maximize their fitness opportunities.

How Does a Complete Fitness Assessment Work?

The Complete Fitness Assessment will be broken down into two appointments, the CFA Step 1 appointment and the CFA Step 2 appointment. Following these appointments, the Exercise Physiologist will help you to set realistic goals based on your fitness goals and interests. Any follow up appointments will include resting measurements and a review of your health history.

Complete Fitness Assessment Step 1

An Exercise Physiologist will complete a health history assessment, resting measurements and introduce you to cardiovascular equipment.

Resting Measurements

  • Heart rate
  • Blood pressure
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Body fat percentage
  • Circumference measurements

Complete Fitness Assessment Step 2

An Exercise Physiologist will conduct a series of performance tests and measurements to aid in the design of your program.

Performance Measurements:

  • Cardiovascular endurance
  • Muscular endurance
  • Flexibility testing

Personalized Digital Workout Program

A Fitness Instructor will design a personalized digital workout program for you to access in our Trainerize app. They will introduce you to several pieces of strength-training equipment, and show you how to set the appropriate adjustments. A stretching program will be included to help you reach your flexibility goals.

How to Prepare for Your Complete Fitness Assessment

  • Before your appointment, please try to complete the Medical History form. The form will be sent to your email, as it allows for more time for thorough testing.
