General Surgery Services

When you need general surgery, Cumberland Medical Center is here to take excellent care of you. Our surgery department consists of:

  • Six operating rooms

  • One cystoscopy room used primarily for urologic procedures

  • One room dedicated to the non-invasive treatment of kidney stones

Surgical interventions are performed on an inpatient and outpatient basis with the majority of patients admitted through Day Surgery

 

The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit consists of 9 beds, including an isolation room. The specially trained, all-RN staff will provide Phase I recovery care to you if you have received anesthesia, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.

High-Definition Operating Rooms

Cumberland Medical Center is proud to have four general surgery i-Suite operating rooms – a group of fully integrated, high-definition operating rooms best described as “operating rooms of the future.” These help us better serve you as our patient. 

The i-Suite operating room features the latest in operating room technologies for enhancing the quality and efficiency of your surgical procedures: 

  • High-definition imaging and visualization
  • Operating room integration
  • State-of-the-art LED surgical lighting
  • Ceiling mounted equipment
