The critical care unit at Claiborne Medical Center boasts small nurse to patient ratios, so our staff is able to give our critically ill patients the best possible care. The medical unit at Claiborne Medical Center is our largest unit, where you will see both patients who are recovering from surgeries as well as those suffering from various illnesses, which requires a well-rounded knowledge base for caregivers. The culture of this unit is energetic with a warm and welcoming team environment. Whether you are looking to start your career as an RN, LPN (HUC), CNA, or PCA, or have years of experience, our medical unit is a team you’d be proud to call your work family.

The emergency department at Claiborne Medical Center is equipped with the latest technology, including computerized patient tracking, radiology services inside the ED and tele-neurology. The ED staff is made up of RNs and paramedics that work together to provide excellent patient care. Claiborne Medical Center also provides access to emergency services through our ambulance service, Claiborne EMS, which is the 911 ambulance provider for Claiborne County.

The cardiac rehabilitation department at Claiborne Medical Center takes pride in helping patients restore their physical fitness after a serious cardiac event or illness. Through exercise, education and counseling, patients regain their strength to return to a more active lifestyle that helps them prevent further illness. Our cardiac
rehab team is comprised of RNs who love helping our patients while also supporting and encouraging their work family.

Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center is a 5-star nursing home facility that is dually licensed to provide skilled and long-term care for those who seek our assistance. We are physically connected by a walkway to Claiborne Medical Center, and the nursing home staff participates in all educational programs and hospital functions. Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center has been open since 1968 and has deep roots in the
community, and the staff works to create an atmosphere where residents can live in a home-like environment.

The surgery department at Claiborne Medical Center is comprised of RNs, LPNs, CSTs, CNAs and CRNAs that work together to provide excellent patient care. The nurse to patient ratio for the OR is 1:1 and 1:2 for ambulatory.
