Covenant Medical Group Welcomes Knoxville Gastrointestinal Specialists

March 2025 – Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group are pleased to welcome Knoxville Gastrointestinal Specialists, a gastroenterology practice with offices in Downtown Knoxville and Seymour.

Knoxville Gastrointestinal Specialists diagnose and treat the entire spectrum of conditions affecting your digestive system, as well as complete colon cancer screenings. It is staffed by Jeffrey Brown, MD; Muhammed Iqbal, MD; and Robert Pollack, MD.

Dr. Brown is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of South Florida in Tampa and served as chief resident during his residency in at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, Tennessee Medical Association and Knoxville Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Iqbal is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He earned his medical degree from Chittagong Medical College in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee, and a research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association.

Dr. Pollack is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Miami and served as chief resident during his residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
