Covenant Health LeConte Earns Accreditations

Congratulations to Leconte’s imaging department!

Covenant Health LeConte has received three-year accreditations in mammography and nuclear medicine after recent reviews by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The ACR accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded to facilities meeting ACR parameters and technical standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. The reviewers assess image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance program. Findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides a comprehensive report that can be used for continuous improvement.

Teresa Huskey, who has been the imaging manager at LeConte for more than 37 years, says, “I am so proud of this imaging services team and how hard they work to provide excellent care to the patients we serve. I have seen them go above and beyond to help patients more times than I can count.”
