Covenant Health is excited to announce that Jackie Hounshell, CPA, has been named the regional chief financial officer. Hounshell brings 14 years of Covenant Health experience to this role, a career built on financial integrity, operational insight and trusted partnerships with hospital and clinical leaders across the system. As the regional CFO, Hounshell will provide financial leadership across a portfolio of three hospitals:
She steps into this position following the retirement of Amy Herndon, who served as chief financial officer at Morristown-Hamblen and Claiborne. Covenant Health is grateful for Herndon’s many years of dedicated service and leadership.
Hounshell will work closely with operational leaders at each of these facilities to drive financial performance, support strategic decision making and ensure each hospital has the consistent, expert financial support it needs to serve its community well. Hounshell’s path to this role is a testament to steady, purposeful leadership.
Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated strong financial stewardship and operational expertise, built effective partnerships with hospital administrators and clinical leaders, delivered consistent results across diverse facility environments and brought both local insight and a system-wide perspective to every challenge.
Her experience spanning multiple hospitals across the Covenant Health system makes her uniquely positioned to provide regional financial leadership. She understands not just the numbers, but the people and communities behind them.
