Becker’s Hospital Review, a national publication focusing on hospital business news for healthcare executives, characterizes community hospitals as primarily acute-care facilities that function to bridge the gaps in healthcare. Hospital CEOs recognized on the list are “charged with delivering high-quality, low-cost care to patients in the communities they serve.” They are also responsible for the growth of service lines, directing strategy and maintaining financial stability.

Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System, a member of Covenant Health, serves eight counties in the Lakeway region, bringing a multitude of services to the area, including stroke care, primary care, imaging and diagnostics and women’s services. Throughout his tenure as hospital administrator, Lintz has focused on improving access to high-quality healthcare and recruiting physicians to the area. He is involved with several local organizations and works with them to identify healthcare needs of the community and opportunities for health education.
