Covenant Health is pleased to announce that Gabriela (Gaby) Barth has joined the organization as vice president of behavioral health services.

Barth brings nearly a decade of healthcare leadership experience spanning hospital administration, physician relations, business development and strategy across both acute care and behavioral health settings. She has worked alongside healthcare leaders and multidisciplinary teams to support growth initiatives, strengthen operations and advance patient-centered care.
A graduate of Tulane University, Barth earned both her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Healthcare Administration degree.
Most recently, Barth served as an interim chief executive officer with Acadia Healthcare, where she provided leadership for behavioral health hospital operations. Prior to that, she completed Acadia Healthcare’s CEO-in-Training program and held leadership roles in business development, physician relations and hospital administration across behavioral health and acute care settings.
As vice president of behavioral health services, Barth will help lead strategic initiatives that support high-quality behavioral healthcare, operational excellence and continued growth across Covenant Health.
“Gabriela brings a strong background in healthcare leadership and a deep commitment to supporting caregivers and patients,” said Mike Belbeck, executive vice president of operations for Covenant Health. “Her experience in both acute care and behavioral health, combined with her collaborative leadership style, will be a tremendous asset as we continue strengthening behavioral health services throughout our region.”
Barth said she was drawn to Covenant Health’s mission-driven culture and commitment to compassionate care.
“What stood out to me about Covenant Health is the organization’s commitment to its mission and the people it serves,” Barth said. “I am excited to join this team and look forward to working alongside caregivers, providers and leaders who are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families throughout East Tennessee.”
