December 2025 – Covenant Health is pleased to once again be named on a list of greatest workplaces in the country as one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging and Community” by Newsweek. The list recognizes companies that have “made an inclusive workplace environment the foundation of their organizational success.” Covenant Health was one of thirteen employers in Tennessee recognized in the “Hospitals and Health Care” category.
To compile this list, Newsweek analyzed companies with at least 1,000 employees on over 120 key performance indicators in areas such as leadership, integrity, compensation, work-life balance and benefits. Over 7.6 million reviews from more than 579,000 individuals were collected through four different studies and data spanning the last three years.
“The whole leadership team and I are grateful for the incredible people that make up Covenant Health. They care about each other, the community and the patients we serve,” said Kandis Smith, senior vice president of human resources of Covenant Health. “Covenant Health is a wonderful place to work, and we are honored to earn this recognition.”
In the last three years, Covenant Health has been recognized by Newsweek ten times on various “America’s Greatest Workplaces” lists. Most recently, this includes “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity,” “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women” and “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Gen Z” 2025 lists. In this same time, Covenant Health has also been named on four of Forbes’ “Best Employer” lists and two times as a “Top Place to Work in Healthcare” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
