Covenant Health CMIO Recognized as a "Women in Health IT to Know"

Knoxville, Tenn. – May 2024Mandy Halford, MD, senior vice president, chief medical informatics officer and chief medical officer of Covenant Health, was recognized on Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2024 list of “141 Women in Health IT to Know.” This is her second time being named to this list.

Becker’s Hospital Review, a national publication focusing on hospital business news for healthcare executives, notes that women included on this list “are modernizing administrative healthcare processes, cutting back on inefficiencies, standardizing workflows and more.”

Dr. Halford expertly leads technology and operational processes, assuring accurate information delivery to clinicians and caregivers, ultimately enhancing patient care, quality and safety. Alongside with chief informatics officer, she aligns Covenant Health’s technology strategies with the health system’s objectives. She has also played an important role in the implementation of Advanced Care at Home, a program which allows patients to receive hospital-level care in the comfort of their homes.

Dr. Halford is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds a clinical informatics certification from the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
