Covenant Health Named a “Best-in-State Employer”

August 2025 – Covenant Health has been named by Forbes as a “Best-in-State Employer” in Tennessee. It ranked 14^th out of 80 employers that were recognized in the state. This is the sixth time Forbes has recognized Covenant Health as a “Best-in-State Employer” and tenth Forbes “Best Employer” recognition overall.

The “Best-in-State Employer” list is created based on survey responses from individuals in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. More than 160,000 employees working for companies with at least 500 people were asked to recommend their current employer based on criteria including wage parity, workplace culture, paths to professional advancement and the employers’ likelihood to act on serious issues. Survey respondents who had another employer in the last two years were also asked to evaluate those companies. To finalize the rankings, responses were incorporated with survey data from the last three years, with greater weight given to this year’s feedback.

Covenant Health employs more than 11,000 caregivers, clinicians, employees and volunteers. It is continuously recognized as a best employer, both within the state and the country. In 2025, other Covenant Health “Best Employer” accolades include:
