We are committed to continually improving the quality and services offered at Thompson Cancer Survival Center. The most valuable feedback we receive comes from you – the members of our community, and the patients and families we serve. Because your experiences and ideas are important to us, we would like to invite you to consider becoming a part of our hospital’s new Patient and Family Partnership Council.

The goal of this council is to bring together diverse members of our community, patients, family members and/or friends of patients, and health care professionals to discuss and collaborate on ways to make Thompson Cancer Survival Center the best hospital it can be.

How can you help our council? Perhaps you have been a patient at Thompson Cancer Survival Center, and you have specific suggestions that would improve patients’ experiences when they are in our care. Perhaps you have suggestions about ways that our waiting areas could be more comfortable or welcoming. Or perhaps you have ideas about the kind of information that would be helpful to receive prior to a hospital visit.

If you are interested in sharing your thoughts and ideas with us on an ongoing basis, and in working with hospital employees and managers to enhance the service, quality, safety and patient care at Thompson Cancer Survival Center, we’d like to hear from you!

Once applications have been reviewed, selected candidates will complete an interview process. Those chosen for the council will receive information about orientation, meeting times and locations, and other details. Meetings will be at Thompson Cancer Survival Center and will typically be held monthly during the early evening hours, with a meal provided.
