About Me
Dr. Timothy LeRoy has practiced general urology in the Knoxville area since 2011 when he joined Knoxville Urology Clinic after he completed his urology residency at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL. His areas of specialty include kidney stone disease, prostate cancer and voiding dysfunction for men and women. Dr. LeRoy also focuses on BPH/enlarged prostate, bladder cancer, low testosterone, Peyronie’s disease, erectile function, female pelvic health, interstitial cystitis, and male and female incontinence. In addition, Dr. LeRoy is specially trained in DaVinci® robotic-assisted procedures, and he performs the UroLIft® and Rezum® procedures for BPH/enlarged prostate, as well as advanced treatments for overactive bladder including BOTOX®.
Dr. LeRoy earned the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society distinction while working on his medical degree at Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University, and he maintains memberships in several societies. To further urology, he has published professional articles, book chapters, and has several articles pending. Dr. LeRoy has sat on several medical committees and has participated in several clinical trials.
At Maryville College, Dr. LeRoy was the school’s NCAA varsity basketball team captain. He received the college’s Kenyon Lacy Leadership Award and was inducted into the Beta Beta Beta, National Biological Honor Society. He also participated in Scot’s for Kids, a children’s charity.
Dr. LeRoy is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
