About Me
Karthik Krishnan, MD is a board-certified allergist-immunologist who has been serving the East Tennessee community since 2010. Dedicated to providing exceptional care with compassion and kindness, Dr. Krishnan is passionate about educating his community, families, and patients on managing and understanding allergic diseases. His expertise and commitment have earned him the trust and respect of colleagues throughout the East Tennessee medical community.
Dr. Krishnan is an active member of both the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI). He has also demonstrated leadership within his field, serving as President of the Tennessee Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (TSAAI).
Dr. Krishnan completed his fellowship in allergy-immunology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA, where he earned the prestigious Clement von Pirquet Award for excellence in basic science research. During his fellowship, he served as the lead author for the Pediatric Allergic Diseases chapter in an international allergy textbook and published multiple research papers. Before his fellowship, Dr. Krishnan was an Assistant Professor of
Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia, where he played a key role in educating residents in training.
He completed medical school, as well as his internship and residency in pediatrics, at the Medical College of Georgia. His academic journey began with earning his undergraduate degree in biology from The Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated at the top of his class.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Krishnan enjoys spending time with his three children, his fiancée, and her son. He is an avid sports fan, aspiring chef, and enjoys cross-fit training, hiking, pickleball, and various water activities. Above all, he remains deeply passionate about his work as an allergist and his commitment to serving the East Tennessee community.
