About Me
Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, I discovered my passion for medicine early on, driven by a desire to be deeply involved in clinical decision-making. Like many, my life has been touched by cancer; as a teenager, my family’s own experience with the disease became the catalyst for my commitment to oncology. I am dedicated to helping patients navigate what may be the most challenging time in their lives. My approach to patient care is grounded in a commitment to continuous learning. I take pride in staying up to date with the latest research to offer my patients the most current therapies and treatments available. I believe in tailoring care to each patient’s unique goals and wishes, ensuring that their treatment journey aligns with their personal values and preferences. Outside of work, I am passionate about spending time outdoors. Since moving to East Tennessee, I have embraced the region’s natural beauty, from hiking in the Smoky Mountains to bouldering at the local rock gym. I also enjoy playing basketball at the University of Tennessee’s outdoor courts and playing rugby with the Knoxville Minx. At home, I find comfort and peace with my two guinea pigs, Chili and Linguini, who have been my loyal companions for many years.
