Support & Education
When your weight is higher than what is considered to be a healthy weight for your height, you are considered overweight or obese. The Body Mass Index (BMI) scale calculates measures body fat based on your current weight and height. Calculate your BMI and complete a surgery self-assessment to see if bariatric surgery could be right for you.
Treatments, Services, Conditions Treated
Bariatric Revision and Conversion Surgery
Some patients benefit from an additional procedure, to revise or convert their original bariatric operation. This can help relieve nausea or help the patient achieve lasting weight loss if they did not successfully after the first surgery. The difference between a revision and a conversion is the revision retains and modifies the original procedure, while a conversion replaces the first surgery, if unsatisfactory, with a different one. Covenant Health bariatric surgeons are experienced in both and can evaluate a patient’s situation and recommend appropriate treatment.
