“Meds-to-Beds” Pharmacy Delivery Program

When discharged, you may work with one of the four pharmacies listed below to deliver medications directly to your bedside before leaving the hospital.

Bedside Hospital Medication Delivery Service

 

Morristown-Hamblen is working with four local pharmacies to deliver discharge medications to your bedside before you leave the hospital.  This allows you to skip the trip to the pharmacy on the way home.

Taking medications as prescribed is an important part of your continued recovery at home.  Our team will coordinate with the participating pharmacy of your choice to get your medication before you leave the hospital.  Working together, we will ensure you have the medication your provider ordered to help you continue to recover at home.

Q: How do I enroll in the Meds-to-Beds Program?

A: A member of your care team will ask if you are interested and will provide a consent form.

Q: Can my discharge medications be added to my hospital bill?

A: Meds-to-Beds prescription filling is an outpatient pharmacy service and cannot be added to your hospital bill. Co-pays are collected by the participating pharmacy you choose to work with when your Meds-to-Beds service is provided.

Q: What type of payments can I use for this program?

A: The participating pharmacies will collect payment directly from the patient. They accept cash, credit and debit cards.

Q: How will I be informed when my prescriptions are ready?

A: Once your prescriptions are ready, a team member from the pharmacy you chose will deliver your medications to your bedside, provide medication education, and answer any questions you may have about your medicine.

Q: How can I obtain my future medications?

A: You can either continue obtaining your medications from the pharmacy you chose, or the pharmacy can transfer your prescriptions to your prefered pharmacy.
