Dana Blumenschein
Dana Blumenschein
Manager, Graduate Medical Education
Methodist Family Medicine Residency
Dana Blumenschein is the manager of graduate medical education for the Methodist Family Medicine Residency Program in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She has worked in graduate medical education for seven years and helped establish the Methodist Family Medicine Residency program in 2023. Blumenschein is responsible for the administrative needs of the residency program and scheduling rotations within the Covenant Health system.
She received her Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification in 2023. She also serves as a board member and treasurer for the National Society of Academic Medical Administrators (NSAMA).
She previously served as the residency manager for Southern Regional AHEC. She served on the 2023 planning committee for the Residency Administrative Development Workshop and the 2024 Membership Committee for Association of Family Medicine Administration (AFMA).
Blumenschein is passionate about advocating for residents. Her hope for the newly established residency program is to see the newest family medicine physicians be empowered to treat patients and stay in the area.
