We are Here for You.

Your spiritual needs are important to us. We would be glad to notify your pastor, priest, rabbi or spiritual advisor at your request – or feel free to request a pastoral visit by a Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center chaplain if your spiritual advisor isn’t available.

Chapel

The Fort Sanders Regional chapel is located on the lobby level near the Clinch Avenue entrance. It is open 24 hours a day providing a quiet place for persons of all faiths to pray and meditate.

Public Worship

Services are held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the ninth floor. In addition, Sunday service is held at 2 p.m. on the fourth floor, Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center Recreation Room, next to the blue elevators.

“Meet Me at the Well”: On hold due to COVID-19 Policy

In addition, our chaplains hold a 15-minute prayer service, “Meet Me at the Well,” at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday in the chapel. Patients, family members and hospital employees are welcome to attend.

Inspiration

Bibles and a limited assortment of religious materials are available in the Pastoral Care office. Please let a chaplain know if you are interested.

Every weekday morning at 8:15, we offer a brief devotional thought on our overhead speaker system. We appreciate any comments or suggestions you may have.

Stephen Ministry

The Stephen Ministry helps provide spiritual care to those patients, family members and employees struggling with a life crisis. The Stephen Ministers will provide one-on-one care while the patient or family member is in the hospital. The focus of our Stephen Ministers is upon our long-term patients and those that lack supportive resources; however, a Stephen Minister may be assigned to a patient, family member or hospital employee.
