Our Hiring Process


Step 1: Apply

The first step of the hiring process is finding a role and submitting an application. Apply today!

Step 2: Interviews

A recruiter will contact you to start the interview process. Be prepared to discuss your skills and experiences. This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about us. We encourage you to ask questions about job requirements, the type of work you would be expected to do, and your team. Upon completion of the interview process, we will determine if an offer will be extended to you.

Step 3: Offer Process

The hiring manager and interviewers will make the final hiring decision. Applicants who are interviewed will be notified once the recruiting process has concluded, and the top candidate will receive an offer. Upon acceptance of our offer, your recruiter will help you coordinate your start date and you will be contacted by a Staffing Coordinator to walk you through the next steps.

Step 4: Pre-Employment Testing

All offers are contingent on successfully completing the onboarding process, which includes a background screening, health screen, drug test and other job-related requirements.

Step 5: Start

Welcome to the Covenant Health team! Upon your start date, you will attend New Employee Orientation. If you have any questions along The Hiring Process, please contact your Recruiter or Staffing Coordinator.

Nursing Units at Fort Loudoun Medical Center


Surgery Nursing Unit

Surgical Services encompasses Pre-op/Post-op, Recovery Room, Surgical Suites and GI Suites with specialties in gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, ophthalmology, ENT, gynecology, ENT, plastic and special procedures.

Med-Surg Nursing Unit

The Med-Surg Unit is a great environment to either start your nursing career or continue on your current journey. This unit includes semi-private rooms with a private room expansion projected to be completed in 2025. Nurses in the Med-Surg Unit treat surgical patients, respiratory, cardiac and numerous wound patients.

Critical Care Unit

The Critical Care Unit at Fort Loudoun Medical Center thrives on quality care and teamwork. This unit specializes in severely altered respiratory, hemodynamic, neurologic, gastrointestinal and metabolic diagnoses. Acuity of patient population ranges from step-down type patients to critical, and tele-medicine is used daily.

Emergency Department

If you are drawn to fast-paced nursing, teamwork and critical thinking, this growing emergency department is the place for you! At Fort Loudoun Medical Center, we treat and stabilize a wide variety of medical emergencies, including cardiac, stroke, respiratory, emergent labor and delivery, pediatrics and trauma.

Nursing Student Opportunities

The Student Nurse Associate (SNA) positions offered at Covenant Health offer invaluable hands-on experience and the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world healthcare settings. To qualify for this position, you must be in your junior or senior year of study in a registered nursing program and have either completed the fundamental clinical skills portion of the program or be scheduled to finish it within the same semester of employment.
