Paint The Mountains Pink
A local program started ten years ago and sponsored by the Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation that generates awareness about the importance of mammography and early detection and provides mammograms for those who live or work in Sevier County and are unable to afford one.
A major fundraiser for this program each year is hosting “Pink Out” football games hosted at each of the five high schools: Gatlinburg-Pittman, Northview Senior Academy, Pigeon Forge, Sevier County, and Seymour.
By working together with each school, their staff, and students, “Pink Out” games have the ability to provide a fun, but informative avenue, for breast cancer awareness.
