Golfing for a Cause
The Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation’s Smoke on the Mountain Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, July 17 at Sevierville Golf Club. Proceeds from this event and other Dr. Thomas Foundation fundraising efforts will provide the patients and families served by LeConte Medical Center with support for:
- Free mammograms and breast cancer education through the foundation’s Paint the Mountains Pink fund
- Specialized physical therapy equipment for both
inpatients and outpatients in need of rehabilitation
following injury or surgery - Educational materials to help new parents learn the best ways to care for their newborn after they leave the hospital
- 3D digital mammography unit with tomosynthesis and stereotactic core biopsy capabilities
