🗓 Date: Sunday, October 5, 2025
🕐 Time: 1 to 4 p.m.
📍 Location: 550 Fort Loudoun Medical Center Drive, Lenoir City, TN 37772

Covenant Health’s Fort Loudoun Medical Center will host a community open house on Sunday, October 5, to celebrate the completion of its newly expanded Brethen Foundation Advanced Care Wing. This is a $15 million investment in the hospital’s mission to improve our community’s quality of life.

“This expansion is a dream realized for our community,” said Connie Martin, president and chief administrative officer of Fort Loudoun Medical Center. “We’re proud to open our doors and show how these new spaces will improve lives through better health.”
The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at 550 Fort Loudoun Medical Center Drive in Lenoir City. Attendees will be among the first to tour the new facility before it officially opens to patients.

The expansion adds 26 private patient rooms, a state-of-the-art 11-bed intensive care unit, and nearly 20,000 square feet of new space. It was made possible through a $5.9 million Capital Improvement Grant from the Tennessee Department of Health’s Health Resiliency Program, and more than $1 million in philanthropic support from the Loudon County community, led by Loudon County residents Colleen and David Brethen and their Brethen Foundation.
“My wife, Colleen, and I were talking a few years ago about how we would likely come here if we experienced a medical emergency. We know that great organizations always have a plan for growth and felt like our contribution may be able to help accelerate efforts because it is wonderful to be able to help. We are grateful to our friends and neighbors who have joined us to contribute,” said David Brethen. “You can never go wrong when doing the right thing, and it’s amazing what you can do when you all work together.”
