March 2025 – Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group are pleased to welcome Muhammed Iqbal, MD, to Knoxville Gastrointestinal Specialists, a gastroenterology practice with offices in Downtown Knoxville and Seymour.
Dr. Iqbal specializes in managing acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions, colon cancer prevention and endoscopic procedures. He has served the Knoxville area since 1998.
Dr. Iqbal is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He earned his medical degree from Chittagong Medical College in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee, and a research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Iqbal is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Iqbal enjoys music and photography. He and his wife, Farzana, are proud parents of twins.
