Covenant Health Announces Leadership Appointment for Behavioral Health

April 2026 – Covenant Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Jensen, MD, as executive medical director of behavioral health. In this role, Dr. Jensen will provide physician leadership and strategic oversight for behavioral health services across our health system.

Dr. Jensen brings extensive experience in psychiatry, clinical leadership and patient-centered behavioral healthcare. His background includes leading multidisciplinary teams, improving access to mental health services and supporting evidence-based approaches that strengthen outcomes for patients and families.

Dr. Jensen is board-certified in psychiatry and has served patients across East Tennessee for many years. In addition to his clinical work, he has held leadership roles focused on program development, care coordination and improving the patient experience. He is dedicated to supporting care teams and advancing behavioral health delivery for our communities.
